00:00 Good day, I am William Thio and this is PTV News Now.
00:04 The Philippine National Police or PNP has released the cartographic or computerized
00:10 facial composite sketch of one of the alleged suspects in the murder of radio anchor Juan
00:16 Humalon or Johnny Walker in Misamis Occidental.
00:20 Based on the composite sketch, the suspect has brown skin and is wearing a red hat.
00:26 He is estimated to be 5'5 to 5'6 in height and/or 40 or older.
00:32 Humalon was shot at close range while broadcasting live on his radio program.
00:38 This was strongly condemned by PRO10 Acting Regional Director Police Brigadier General
00:43 Ricardo Layug Jr. and vowed justice for the broadcaster.
00:48 The Presidential Task Force on Media Security has also called on the police as well as the
00:54 National Bureau of Investigation or NBI to form a special investigation task group, SITG,
01:01 that will focus on the broadcaster's case.
01:06 Meanwhile Israeli forces shut down all the shops, business and public services on the
01:11 main road in Harawa in the West Bank due to confrontations between Jewish settlers and
01:17 Palestinians.
01:18 BOA's Jan Boachat reports from Harawa.
01:24 Hi I'm Jan Boachat, I'm here in Harawa in the West Bank.
01:28 Today was another very violent day here.
01:31 Five people were killed in the West Bank during Israeli forces incursions into refugee camps
01:39 and also in cities here looking for suspects linked to Hamas.
01:45 In this city here, Harawa, you can have a good example of how the situation stands here.
01:51 This street here is actually a road that links Nablus to Ramallah.
01:57 Around here there are a lot of Jewish settlements.
02:01 Since the war began the Israeli forces closed everything here, all the shops, everything
02:05 is shut down.
02:07 The Israeli forces believe this is a very dangerous place for the settlers and a lot
02:12 of confrontation between the people who live here and the Jewish settlers are happening
02:17 here since years and the violence escalating here.
02:23 People were really afraid that things in this city could get out of control.
02:28 I'm Jan Boachat for VOA News from Harawa, the West Bank.
02:36 And in other news, Britain's Prince William, Prince of Wales, participates in dragon boat
02:41 training with the British team in Singapore.
02:44 It was not the first time for William, an avid sportsman, who tried his hand at dragon
02:49 boating with his wife Kate, the Princess of Wales, during a tour of Canada in 2011.
02:54 Laura Greenwood, a member of the British Dragons who paddled alongside the Prince, said he
02:59 really kept up well.
03:01 The dragon boat racing originated from China and became a modern international sport in
03:07 1976.
03:08 The Prince is visiting Singapore to attend the Earshot Prize that aims to reward innovative
03:14 efforts to combat climate change.
03:16 The ceremony will take place on November 7th.
03:22 And this is William Thio.
03:23 Stay informed, be aware, get ahead, be abused.
