00:00 I'm Oli Davis, this is the WrestleTalk News.

00:09 Picture this.

00:10 You've worked hard all your life, reinvented a whole industry several times over, and then

00:14 ruthlessly stole back that industry when it tried to force you out due to mounting allegations

00:18 of sexual misconduct.

00:19 It's only right that now, at 78 years old, you finally get to live your boyhood dream,

00:25 racing around the world as Dick Dastardly with your best friend The Undertaker.

00:29 Vince McMahon and The Undertaker have been spotted on the Ultimate Lads holiday in Saudi

00:33 Arabia, where they were in attendance for Tyson Fury beating Francis Ngonew by split

00:38 decision.

00:39 Lads, lads, lads.

00:40 Vince can be seen using a cane to walk, either due to his recent back surgery or his continued

00:43 mission to become a Batman villain.

00:45 But it wasn't just business Vince and Taker were in town for.

00:48 They were also in Saudi for pleasure.

00:51 And by pleasure with Vince, I also mean business.

00:54 As it's been reported, McMahon's relationship with the Saudi government helped the UFC gain

00:59 a big money deal, just like WWE's.

01:02 The UFC will now host a Fight Night event in the country in March 2024.

01:07 WWE completed merging with the UFC in September as TKO Group Holdings.

01:11 UFC CEO Dana White has described Vince as "an incredible partner, the Michael Jordan

01:17 of the business world, and an absolute savage" while Vince said of Dana "I'm a better

01:22 businessman."

01:23 Lads, lads, lads.

01:24 Fightful has reported that Vince has been almost totally removed from WWE creative since

01:29 the corporate merger was completed on September 12th, with Endeavor instead trusting Triple

01:33 H to run that side of things.

01:35 In an update, talent that Fightful has spoken to described the backstage atmosphere as much

01:40 more straightforward since the TKO merger - more in line with "the last half of 2022"

01:45 as opposed to "the first nine months of 2023", which means Triple H can focus on

01:51 what he does best.

01:53 Booking the latest Bloodline Interference finish so Roman can keep his title.

01:57 The Samoan SWAT team has been one of the most dominating factions in the major league wrestling

02:01 promotion, consisting of former National Openweight Champion Jacob Fatu and former World Tag Team

02:06 Champions Lance Anawai and Juicy Fanu.

02:08 The Samoan SWAT team has a long lineage, first starting back in 1987 with Samu and Fatu,

02:14 wrestling under various names for WCW, ECW and the WWF, and mostly comprising of members

02:20 of the Anawai family.

02:22 The same Samoan wrestling dynasty that includes Rock 'The Dwayne' Johnson, Rikishi, Yoko

02:27 Zuna, The Wild Samoans, Umaga, Rosie, The Usos, Solo Sakoa and Roman Reigns.

02:33 But somehow not Samoa Joe.

02:35 He's like the only Samoan wrestler who's not related to any other Samoan wrestlers.

02:40 There's an argument that the Bloodline is just the Samoan SWAT team under a different

02:45 name, similar to how the Elite and the OC kind of exist within a larger Bullet Club

02:49 affiliation, especially as Paul Heyman has managed both the Bloodline and the SWAT team.

02:54 So it's very interesting when currently wrestling active members of the Anawai family

02:58 become free agents, up for grabs.

03:01 Especially when it ties into the larger stories of a wrestling promotion talent exodus and

03:05 the legal battle so potentially significant, WWE said nice things about AEW.

03:11 Lance Anawai has posted on X "As of today, I have been granted my MLW release.

03:16 I want to thank MLW.

03:18 Want to give a big shout out to my Usos, Juicy Fennu and Jacob Fattu.

03:22 Thank you for everything.

03:24 Love you guys.

03:25 Samoan SWAT Team."

03:26 He's tag team partner member in the SWAT Team, Juicy posted the same.

03:29 "As of today, I have been released from MLW.

03:32 Just want to thank everyone I've crossed paths with while I was there.

03:36 Extremely thankful to MLW for the opportunities.

03:39 Especially want to thank my brothers, Jacob Fattu and Lance Anawai.

03:42 I'm now a free agent.

03:44 Toko out.

03:45 Oh Fass."

03:46 This follows Jacob Fattu, who is under contract with MLW until late 2025, telling MuscleMan

03:51 Malcolm in September "Being in WWE, man, my father, my uncle, look, my cousins are

03:57 there.

03:58 So absolutely, if I had the chance, I would go."

04:01 To explain exactly who is related to who here, as it can get quite confusing, Lance Anawai

04:06 is the son of Samu, who's way over here on the family Anawai tree.

04:10 His grandfather Affa is the brother of Reigns' dad Seeker, making him a first cousin, once

04:15 removed of Roman Reigns.

04:17 Weirdly, Lance has already featured on WWE programming in a segment with Reigns, where

04:21 Shane McMahon tapped him out in a squash match on the May 27th, 2019 episode of Raw during

04:27 Shane's feud with Roman Reigns.

04:28 You know, the one where he had Drew McIntyre as his henchman.

04:31 I'm actually really glad Triple H is running creative.

04:33 Jacob Fattu, who is still signed with MLW, is also a first cousin, once removed of Roman's,

04:39 and the direct cousin of The Usos - with Rikishi being his uncle.

04:43 Although he's been accused this year of no showing a fundraising wrestling event and

04:47 not returning the money.

04:48 He's challenging for the MLW World title on November 18th.

04:51 And Juicy… he's not related to anyone, he's from Tonga.

04:56 It's interesting to note that this isn't just a case of Lance and Juicy's MLW contracts

05:00 expiring.

05:01 They claimed their requests for their releases were granted.

05:04 In other words, they quit, and they hadn't wrestled since dropping the tag titles back

05:08 in July.

05:09 This comes during an odd weekend for MLW, with Fightful reporting their former world

05:13 champion Alex Hammerstone has also requested his release from the company after five years,

05:19 as his relationship with them has become frayed.

05:22 He also dropped the world title back in July, where his near two year reign was ended by

05:26 Alex Kane.

05:27 It's reported MLW feel Hammerstone's motivation decreased after he lost the belt, and they

05:32 have no intention of granting him his release from his contract, which expires in 2025.

05:38 It points to talent uncertainty behind the scenes at Major League Wrestling.

05:42 But even then, WWE will have to tread very carefully if they intend on bringing in members

05:47 of the Samoan SWAT team from MLW.

05:49 MLW CEO Court Bauer has been a persistent thorn in WWE's side since the start of 2022,

05:56 where he filed an antitrust lawsuit accusing them of interfering in TV and streaming deals

06:00 and - pretty related here - poaching talent.

06:04 The most recent update came in August, where MLW submitted a court document confirming

06:08 Stephanie McMahon spoke with the streaming platform Tubi - which is owned by WWE's

06:13 partner Fox - the day before Tubi was going to announce a streaming deal with MLW.

06:18 That deal was terminated that night.

06:20 MLW therefore claims WWE got their TV deal thrown out, which WWE denies.

06:26 How would you book Samoan SWAT team members joining the Bloodline?

06:29 Tell me by making a Bloodline OG vs Bloodline SWAT war in the comments down below.

06:34 We're just in the top of the fourth inning, lads!

06:38 And this is it.

06:40 Look at that epic scream in the air.

06:43 Lovely stuff.

06:44 He's going to be throwing him over.

06:45 Oh, oh, he's got a chance to escape here.

06:47 He's got a chance to escape.

06:49 And he's - oh, he's done a foolish thing there.

06:51 He's done a foolish thing.

06:52 He's decided to stay in the ring.

06:54 Oh, he's been kicked in the face.

06:55 What, are you going to kick him out the ring there?

06:57 And then he'll - he'll - he'll win.

06:59 Because presumably this is like cage match rules.

07:01 Oh, oh dear.

07:03 Another - another big kick to the face there.

07:06 And he slapped him onto the ground like a pancake.

07:09 Oh dear.

07:11 Onto his back.

07:12 It doesn't bother him though.

07:13 He rolls him over.

07:14 And now another lariat.

07:15 Unbelievable stuff here.

07:18 But yes, it must be - I presume - I can only presume cage rules here.

07:22 First person out would make sense.

07:25 They - they - they win the match.

07:27 Oh, and he goes over.

07:28 Oh, what a lovely victory for the bald man there.

07:31 And why is he looking so happy?

07:34 Egg on your face, my friend.

07:36 You've just chucked out your opponent, winning him the match.

07:39 Oh, and the crowd are - they're over the moon for the man that we can't be.

07:43 You're not getting a camera shot of the - of the winner.

07:46 Strangely, you're getting a camera shot of this - this big loser in the middle there.

07:50 And - and these fans who appear to be sort of cheering him.

07:53 It doesn't make any sense to me.

07:56 His pants are literally on fire.

07:59 Therefore, he must be a liar.

08:02 Soon Bryan Children could find himself commentating on the hottest new indie wrestler…

08:08 Ronda Rousey.

08:10 After Rousey and her fellow Four Horsewoman Marina Shafir wrestled an impromptu match

08:15 at the Lucha Baboom event on the 26th, beating Bryan Kendrick and Tye Valkyrie, Pro Wrestling

08:20 Revolver have officially announced that Rousey and Shafir will also be in action for them

08:25 on November 16th, where all ticket profits will go to La Hena Wildlife Relief.

08:29 Dave Meltzer has revealed that Ronda is a free agent.

08:32 "She can do what she wants and she's doing it for fun.

08:35 It's in LA, where she lives, she doesn't like travel and likes hanging out with Marina."

08:40 Ronda actually enjoying wrestling appears not to have just struck us by surprise, but

08:44 also her former place of work.

08:46 Rousey was last seen wrestling in WWE at August's SummerSlam, putting over Shayna Baszler in

08:51 an awkward MMA rules match.

08:53 It reportedly expired shortly after, but it's only now, following her indie announcements,

08:57 that she's been moved to the alumni section of the WWE website.

09:01 This is just me speculating here, but Marina is signed to AEW.

09:05 Tye, one of her opponents at the Lucha Baboom show, is also signed to AEW.

09:10 A lot of the talent on her next show, like Jon Moxley and Swerve Strickland, are signed

09:15 to AEW.

09:16 Those are a lot of ways for Tony Khan and Ronda Rousey to reach out to each other.

09:22 AEW could do with that extra drawing power too, as it's been announced that Bryan Danielson's

09:26 injury at the end of last week's Dynamite was a legitimate orbital bone break, and he's

09:31 expected to be out for the remainder of the year.

09:33 This is the second time Danielson has been hurt by the Rainmaker, Bonebreaker, Okada,

09:38 making them two for two in encounters causing injuries.

09:41 Bryan had previously broken his arm in their match at Forbidden Door.

09:44 PWInsider has confirmed the injury is not storyline, and it's touch and go whether

09:49 he'll make New Japan's WrestleKingdom event on January 4th.

09:52 It's not good news for live events either, as WrestleTix is reporting more ticket sales

09:56 struggles for AEW, with the Wednesday 1st November Dynamite only having sold 2,556 of

10:03 the 4,295 available.

10:07 This is in the KFC Yum Center, which can seat up to 23,000 people.

10:11 I know, I'm as shocked as you are.

10:13 There's a place called the KFC Yum Center.

10:16 Rather than do a one minute one take recap for the Saturday 28th episode of AEW Collision,

10:21 I have this simple request.

10:23 Go watch MJF vs Kenny Omega for the world title.

10:26 It was very good.

10:28 And tune into the WrestleTalk Podcast's full review of it.

10:30 In the meantime, watch mine and Luke's three count predictions for Crown Jewel.
