Wilko stores to re-open: Will there be a branch where you live?

Wilko, the beloved UK discount store, is set for a triumphant return to the high street after a tumultuous year. The chain had faced a collapse earlier but has found a lifeline through The Range, a rival discounter, which acquired the Wilko name and intellectual property in the summer. CDS Superstores, the parent company behind The Range and Wilko, has surprised shoppers by confirming the revival of the chain in locations across England, Scotland, and Wales. Even more noteworthy is the expansion into Northern Ireland, marking the first appearance of Wilko shops in the region.

Five Wilko stores are on track to reopen their doors before Christmas. While Plymouth and Exeter are the confirmed locations for early December, additional stores in the South East and the North are set to be announced shortly. The expansion continues into January, with the aim of having more stores open in the coming months, rekindling the love of shoppers for this iconic discounter.
