00:00 It's great to be at Abergavenny for the steel signing.
00:03 It's going to be a great facility for our communities and of course in order for us
00:07 to respond to those emergencies across this area of the county.
00:11 It's a big day.
00:12 I'm really looking forward to seeing the sustainability agenda really be brought to
00:16 life here in our police estate.
00:18 It has great green credentials, has a number of PV panels on the roof, eight EV charging
00:23 stations.
00:24 There's lots of ecology in this building as well.
00:27 There's bird and bat boxes for keeping the perimeter as well as new tunnels that are
00:31 installed as part of our main works.
00:33 Work's slightly going well and we look forward to handing the job over to Gwent Police in
00:36 the new year.
00:37 I know it's been a long journey.
00:39 It's not over yet but it's great to see it here and I know that the community will really
00:45 appreciate it.
00:46 This will be a very important public service facility going forward.
00:52 And of course at the core of this is also the wellbeing for our officers as well.
00:57 So a great day for us all and a great day for Aberdeen.
00:59 Stay Current with the Daily Watch.
