00:23 Loke said the committee decided that the actions by Chan and Fong were in violation of the

00:28 party's policy, which prohibits accepting any titles while serving as elected representatives.

00:35 He said elected representatives should focus on serving the people and only be considered

00:40 for awards after retiring from an elected office.

00:44 He also thanked all rulers and Yang di-Pertuan Negeri for all awards confirmants.

00:49 Sabah Yang di-Pertuan Negeri Tun Juha Mahiruddin conferred the awards to Chan and Fong in conjunction

00:55 with his birthday celebration on October 7.

00:58 Chan said he accepted the award as a mark of respect and honour from the Yang di-Pertuan Negeri.
