Women stand together for Palestine, submit protest letter to US Embassy

Around 300 women gathered near the US Embassy in Kuala Lumpur on Friday (Oct 20) to “condemn the complicity of the American government in the ongoing genocide against Palestinians.”  The protest was organised by the Malaysian Women's Coalition for Al-Quds and Palestine (MWCQP). 00:40 I reiterate, innocent non-combatants

00:42 that Israeli officials have stated,

00:45 they are at war not just with Hamas.

00:47 They are at war with non-combatants,

00:49 with civilians, with every conciliant.

00:52 That in itself is a clear-cut message

00:55 that should be condemned by the world.

00:57 But I do not know what else you need to see,

01:01 to fight for what's right.

01:04 We also must understand the number of attacks

01:09 on all places of worship, not just mosques, but also

01:13 churches in Palestine.

01:16 This happens with a clear-cut target.

01:20 And I would also state that the World Health Organization,

01:24 as well as the United Nations themselves, are victims.

01:29 And they have spoken out.

01:30 It is time for the international world, especially America,

01:35 who vetoed the United Nations resolution.

01:39 They vetoed.

01:40 So you cannot deny you are complicit.

01:43 So do not blame the rest of the world, who have clearly

01:48 nothing but hatred at the decision

01:50 that you are making today.

01:52 Even American legislators who had asked for exercising

01:58 restraint, they were called repugnant by the White House,

02:04 no less.

02:06 So this is an official position of America.

02:11 So that's why we ask whether the UK, who followed suit,

02:16 hot in the pursuit of President Biden, to visit Israel,

02:20 the issue is they must hear the voices of Malaysians.

02:24 And we are also urging the voices of every citizen

02:28 of the world that loves justice and the genocide.
