The Foreign Ministry is in the process of evacuating a Malaysian woman who is married to a Palestinian from the West Bank in view of the current clashes in Palestine involving Hamas, the ruling authority in Gaza, and the Israeli regime.

Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir said the woman, identified as Dr Nurul Ain Latif from Kota Baru, was reported to be in a safe place.

01:13 including a person who involved Dr. Nurain Latif and his three children.
01:24 We have also been able to contact the Malaysian Embassy in Amman.
01:34 He is now in a safe condition and we are planning to release him from prison.
01:52 We cannot give any details on the evacuation steps,
02:04 but we can say that this is a situation in which we need to take care of the safety of the people.
02:11 In terms of other developments, I would like to inform you that 23 Malaysian and Singaporean people
02:22 who were previously in conflict but are now safely crossing over to Egypt on 10 October,
02:36 and until now, this morning, we have received information about the casualty rate
02:49 which continues to increase in the areas that are being bombed by Israel.
