00:09 you've missed them. There's plenty to go out in terms of some long reads for over the weekend

00:23 So at the start of the week we heard how Yorkshire Children's Charity is preparing for another

00:27 Christmas of high demand from struggling families, with the head of the organisation talking

00:33 about desperation on another level last year and more of the same expected this year.

00:41 Westminster might be our political epicentre but we heard from journalist Matt Chorley

00:45 about how plenty of other odd and amusing spots have played their part in politics,

00:50 including in Yorkshire. Meanwhile, Health Chief Rob Webster spoke to us about the pain

00:55 of losing his brother to suicide and his support for a prevention campaign as the world marked

01:00 Mental Health Day. Television doctor and practicing GP Dr Amir Khan told us about his latest book,

01:07 a novel on the topic of arranged marriage and about how general practice has changed

01:12 over his time in the industry. We heard from Carrie and David Grant, who are best known

01:19 for TV shows like Fame Academy, they've also written about their remarkable family story

01:25 and hope that that can help other parents. We also caught up with naturalist, broadcaster

01:30 and author Steve Baxhall ahead of his stage show Ocean coming to Yorkshire. And in Arts

01:36 and Culture we looked at Bradford-based Dance United Yorkshire, a social inclusion charity

01:41 that's been delivering projects for vulnerable people and marginalised communities across

01:46 the region. And late this month, they are presenting an intergenerational dance theatre

01:52 production. We also looked at the production of pop music at Hull Shrug Theatre and spoke

01:57 to Norman Blake of Teenage Fan Club about their new album and gigs in Leeds and Sheffield
