Aston Villa held by Wolves in chaotic West Midlands derby

Post-match reaction from the 1-1 Premier League draw between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa at Molineux Stadium.

00:04 Probably one of the most chaotic 1-1 draws I've ever seen here.

00:08 Obviously it was a West Midlands derby, it was going to be tense,

00:13 but it brought much more than we expected.

00:15 It was just so chaotic throughout.

00:17 Wolves able to halt Aston Villa's momentum,

00:19 Unai Emery's team this season and last,

00:22 have so often been incredibly good at working spaces,

00:25 getting forwards and building patiently from the back,

00:28 but Wanderers were able to break down any kind of momentum for Villa in this game.

00:32 They took the lead through Hwang Hee Chan.

00:35 Pedro Neto did some great work down the right-hand side,

00:37 put the ball across and Hwang was able to just poke the ball home for 1-0.

00:42 Then Paul Torres just moments later got a goal back for Aston Villa.

00:46 He was the first Villa goal, he slid in from Nolly Watkins Cross to make it 1-1.

00:51 Apart from that kind of five minutes or so,

00:53 not even that, two or three minutes where the goals were scored,

00:56 there wasn't too much chance creation really,

00:58 apart from in the final few minutes.

01:01 It was such a tense second half, so much break up to play,

01:05 so many bookings handed out by the referee, Rob Jones,

01:08 and then there was a sending off for Mario Lamina.

01:10 It was kind of inevitable that someone was going to be sent off.

01:13 John McGinn, Craig Dawson were in lots of physical battles,

01:16 but it was Lamina for just pulling back.

01:19 Nicolo Zaniolo, he earned a second booking,

01:21 he was given his marching orders and 12 minutes of added time

01:25 allowed Villa to create quite a few late chances.

01:28 Zaniolo had one, Konza had one, it was saved by Jose Sarr.

01:32 And then right at the end, the last moment of the game,

01:35 Nolly Watkins headed in, but it hit the post for Villa,

01:38 and it was a sharing of points here at Molyneux Stadium.
