Aston Villa to rotate in Europe and focus on Liverpool away

More focus needed from Villa.

00:00 Charlie, it's been a positive few weeks for Aston Villa,

00:03 obviously starting off their Europa Conference League campaign,

00:07 you know, with absolute thrashing away at Hibs.

00:09 They have to hold on to that now, but they can probably rotate and save legs

00:13 for their incredibly tough trip to Anfield on Sunday.

00:17 I think that will definitely be the case. If it was a slightly easier fixture in the Premier League on Sunday,

00:22 then maybe they would have been a bit stronger and given a bit more respect.

00:25 But at this point, Unai Emery's done his duty with respecting Hibernian.

00:29 He did that in the away leg at Edinburgh last week.

00:32 The field is a very strong team and they won 5-0 for that reason.

00:35 There was such a disparity in class between the two teams.

00:38 Now's an opportunity to play some youngsters and some players that might not usually get that game time,

00:43 or to just try and build some partnerships.

00:45 I've been doing my Predix 11 this morning,

00:47 and I do think the likes of Carlos and Paulo Torres will start to give that partnership a bit more of a run out.

00:53 The likes of, you know, Callum Chambers, Seb Revan,

00:56 maybe even Namaari Kellyman, John Duran, Selimans, Dendonka, Bertrand Trieroret,

01:01 all these kind of players that have been on the edge of the starting line-up,

01:04 but not quite making it into it. I think they'll probably get some game time.

01:07 So an exciting opportunity for them.

01:09 I think John McGinn just has to start a second successive reunion with his former side at Villa Park under the lights.

01:15 I think that's quite a romantic reunion.

01:17 But other than that, as you say, lots of rotation to be had,

01:20 because the game away at Liverpool is going to be incredibly tough.

01:24 We've seen this season they've started as they're meaning to go on. A win away at Newcastle United,

01:29 very dramatic despite having 10 men.

01:31 It seems as if they're not playing their best,

01:34 but they're back to that position of getting those results even when they're not playing at their best.

01:38 Just at Anfield, you expect that to be even more the case.

01:41 So very tricky test for Villa, and I think it will show exactly where they are at the moment.
