00:03 For one Saturday in August every year, just north of Detroit,
00:07 Woodward Avenue becomes the cruising center of the universe.
00:11 From 10 mile north to Pontiac, cars line up,
00:15 one million people, probably 10,000 vehicles.
00:19 And they spend all day cruising up and down.
00:22 It's a sight to behold.

00:28 It's just people coming together,
00:29 communities coming together along these 16 miles,
00:32 enjoying each other, enjoying the heritage of the automobile
00:35 and what it meant to this region.
00:36 It's my first time at Woodward.
00:38 This is my 1967 Chevy Impala that I just
00:41 got finished about 3 and 1/2 months ago.
00:44 And it's got 13,000 miles on it.
00:46 We put an LS3 with a 4L65E transmission in it.
00:50 Got a Ford 9-inch in the rear and cruises down the road.
00:54 Nice and smooth.
00:55 Rebuilt my first engine on a Corvair Monza
00:57 when I was 15 years old.
00:59 That got me into cars and the rest is history.

01:05 This is my Daytona coupe.
01:21 I built it myself.
01:22 It's a replica of a 1965 Shelby Cobra Daytona coupe.
01:29 The body and the chassis are made by Factory 5.
01:32 And about the rest of it is custom.
01:34 So it has a Pontiac 400 V8 in it.
01:38 It took me six years to make it.
01:39 And I'm basically a Pontiac guy.
01:42 But I love this body style.
01:44 So this is what I got.
