00:04 What was your reaction when you found out
00:06 that you're a power player?
00:07 And also share some thoughts about the music as well.

00:13 We all, at the end of the day, do it for the cultura.
00:17 Right?
00:18 We always say (speaking in foreign language)
00:19 and all areas of the business from live to now.
00:23 I was at the label side at Universal Latino,
00:25 now I'm at BMI.
00:27 So I'm back on the creative side,
00:28 representing the songwriters, the producers.
00:30 So what a moment for Latin music, right?
00:32 Latin entertainment, the growth and to be in this role
00:36 where we're all coming together to celebrate our efforts.

00:43 - And everything you've done in your career,
00:50 you've boosted and elevated Latin music so much
00:53 and on a global scale. - Oh, gracias.
00:54 - But not a lot of people know
00:55 that you are also an artist yourself.
00:58 - I was just like 10, 15 years early.
01:00 The Mexican wave, you know, was just me.
01:02 15 years ago.
01:02 - I covered his music.
01:04 Yeah, that's it. - Yeah, no.
01:06 For me, I think that's always been an advantage
01:09 because I was fortunate enough to go from artist
01:12 and you're always an artist.
01:13 What we do, all these gente right here,
01:16 these professionals, is an art, right?
01:18 In their respective fields.
01:20 So for me to have gone from creative
01:22 to now the corporate side and have been able to impact,
01:25 you know, a lot of the negocio,
01:26 a lot of the (speaking in foreign language)
01:29 you know, to me, I just feel blessed and fortunate.
01:31 But you know, come back on the way.
01:33 - And that is so important for artists
01:35 because they, you know, you understand it
01:37 from that perspective. - Yes.
01:38 - So I mean, that's awesome.
01:40 And also, who should we be paying attention to nowadays?
01:42 Who are you listening to?
01:43 - Man, what, we're doing a panel here at the conference
01:47 called the New Mexican Revolution.
01:49 For us, (speaking in foreign language)
01:50 you know, we've been supporting that movimiento so long
01:53 and to see it now at a global scale,
01:55 you know, we just signed Chinito Pacas,
01:58 Gavito Ballesteros, you have this whole wave.
