00:00 Hi there and welcome back to Edinburgh News.com. I'm Oda Morrison, I'm the editor here at
00:06 the Evening News and I'm going to run through just some of the main stories from the day
00:09 so far.
00:10 A 15 year old boy has been charged over an incident involving a knife in Oxgans. Police
00:18 were called to Oxgans Avenue at around tea time on Thursday and police later traced the
00:23 boy and charged him. Many trains are expected to be busier than usual as the suspension
00:29 of peak fares on ScotRail services takes effect today. The price of a return ticket between
00:35 Edinburgh and Glasgow has been nearly halved from around £28 to just £14 and the Scottish
00:41 government hopes that the change will encourage people to take the train rather than the car.
00:47 And finally, travel in Edinburgh has seen some dramatic changes over the past decade
00:51 and we've taken a look at some of the biggest transport projects which are set to be introduced
00:55 in the city. From the low emission zone to controlled parking, you can take a week through
01:01 the 17 projects up on our website now.
01:05 If you've got a story that you think we should be covering or that you want to let us know
01:08 about, please do get in touch. All our details are over on our Contact Us page and as always,
