Leadership tip #1: Never Stop Learning Never stop learning things that will help your business like business skills, how to deal with people, and how to lead people. There are two reasons why you should never stop learning. The first reason is because things are constantly changing. New markets spring up, new trends occur, and new technologies get developed. There is business opportunity here for those who spot it, and you have a better chance of spotting it first if you are constantly educating yourself about it. For instance, there seems to always be a new stream of social networking sites, and people keep coming up with creative new ways to use them. The second reason why you should never stop learning is because some things never change. People are people, and the same laws of the universe that applied in the past apply today and will apply tomorrow. For example, almost a hundred years ago Dale Carnegie began writing about some of these truths. One thing he said was that people love to hear their name, so you should learn peoples' names and say their name when talking with them. This was true a hundred years ago and it will be true a hundred years from now. Knowledge interconnects and builds on itself. The new trends and markets can be spotted by learning, and you can profit from those changes by applying timeless truths. The sooner you understand the need to constantly educate yourself, the sooner you will have an edge over people who don't. The most successful people in business are always learning, and they are trying to improve themselves and improve their understanding of how the world works.
