00:44 The Centre serves as a temporary settlement of seized wildlife under the International
00:50 Trade in Endangered Species Act 2008. It also focuses on tiger conservation activities such
00:58 as rescue operations, rehabilitation, disease treatment and control, as well as research
01:04 and breeding using the latest technology. Pahilitan aims to increase the Malayan tiger
01:10 population to 400 in the next 10 years, from the current count of about 150.
