The Selangor government plans to gazette satay as a heritage food in an effort to promote the state as a destination for the popular delicacy, according to exco in charge of housing and culture Borhan Aman Shah.

00:08 fiesta Satay Selangor at a resort in Bagalalang on Saturday, revealed the state government's
00:14 plan to gazette satay as a heritage food. He said the Menteri Besar is expected to announce
00:20 the details officially. Bohan is also the state exco in charge of housing and culture.
00:26 "And today, one of the heritage food is satay kacang, which is a must to be raised or
00:36 distributed as a heritage food. So, I made a statement, we raise the table as a mandate
00:46 to bring it to the state and to be distributed as a heritage food for the people of Indonesia."
00:58 "With the introduction of satay kacang, it has become a tourist attraction that increases
01:06 the economy of kacang. And the name satay kacang has been popular since before the CBP
01:14 and the name kacang is very similar to the kacang's flag. And the name of this food
01:20 is one of the heritage food that identifies the place."
01:25 The satay festival was held at the Bagalalang beach for a day from 9am to 3pm. The event
01:32 saw some 100,000 sticks of satay served to the public and the feature is expected to
01:37 enter the Malaysia Book of Records for the most satay served.
