00:15 And what makes your team so special do you think?

00:18 Because we're such a small school and we're doing achievement programs.

00:24 Teamwork together.

00:26 Stand right there, he's making a hee-spur right here.

00:28 Mr Nusker, a mighty achievement to have two teams through to the finals,

00:32 basketball and touch football.

00:34 I understand you've been here for six years and you've never seen this happen before.

00:39 No, pretty incredible mate, very proud of the boys.

00:41 It's a lot of effort so it's just nice to see them get a good result.

00:45 And some of the more senior members of the staff,

00:47 they can't record two teams through to the state finals in the same year can they?

00:51 Yeah, not two different sports.

00:53 To have two different sports for 148 kids, that's incredible.

00:57 Amazing achievement.

00:58 Yeah, you mentioned it's a small school.

01:00 What do you put the success down to?

01:02 Boys with the attitude to work hard and they understand that

01:06 with that hard work and commitment they get to see a good result.

01:12 And families that are very supportive as well.

01:14 And the young fellas you have here, they play in both teams don't they?

01:18 Yeah, we've got a number of players that play across both basketball and touch football

01:21 so they've committed a lot of their own time to practicing and training

01:24 and now they're getting this record awards for their benefit.

01:27 I would imagine with it being such a small school, that's not an uncommon occurrence?

01:31 No, they're always out there in the playground playing footy, playing cricket, playing basketball.

01:36 They're still going in the cricket knockout as well as debating.

01:39 So we're achieving high results in all areas at the moment.

01:42 And guys, do you fancy your chances in the state finals?

01:47 100% won't we?

01:48 Yeah.

01:49 We'll give it a good shake won't we boys?
