00:00 The Philippine National Police returned the lump sum as part of the retirement pay of the police who were beaten by Wilfredo Gonzalez.
00:08 Yes, he was able to receive his call which is actually entitled to Alessia Don.
00:13 That's basically the terminal leave, earned credits.
00:17 He also received a three-year lump sum pension, starting 2016 up to 2019.
00:26 But when we received the dismissal order, when the PRBS was able to receive the dismissal order,
00:33 his monthly pension which was supposed to start in 2019, it was not anymore activated.
00:37 So basically he's not anymore receiving pension from us.
00:40 It will reach almost P600,000.
00:44 According to PNP Retirement and Benefits Administration Service Director Brigadier General Nino Rabaya,
00:50 they will send a demand letter to Gonzalez.
00:53 He's being accused of being a civilian who is waiting for him even if he cannot pay the money.
00:58 We will be taking civil action against him.
01:01 We have already referred this to our legal.
01:04 In 2017, the dismissal order was issued against Gonzalez because of grave misconduct.
01:10 His motion for reconsideration was denied until it was approved in 2019.
01:15 Meanwhile, PNP Chief General Benjamin Acorda assured that
01:20 the People's Law Enforcement Board or PLEB will make a decision on the matter.
01:25 The three police officers, QC, filed a complaint.
01:29 Because of his inhumane behavior, the cyclist who was accused by Gonzalez was protected.
01:35 If they were charged by PLEB, they have a right.
01:39 It's a composition of so many sectors.
01:44 There are legal, teachers, and religious.
01:50 The decision of PLEB is what we call final and executory.
01:57 The public did not like the way QCPD District Director Brigadier General Nicolas Torre presented Gonzalez,
02:06 who was accused of being a former drug dealer.
02:09 The reason was to make him stand in his place.
02:13 This afternoon, Torre was formally replaced by the former PNP Public Information Chief Brigadier General Rederico Maranat.
02:22 At the turnover ceremony, Torre was awarded the title of Queso City and National Capital Region Police Office for his dedication to QCPD.
