00:06 Ground has been broken on a long-awaited new apartment scheme in Leyland which is designed

00:11 to help keep people independent as they grow older.

00:15 The development, to be named Jubilee Gardens, will spring up on land next to the South Ribble

00:19 Borough Council Civic Centre headquarters on West Paddock.

00:23 The authority itself is behind the £17.8 million project which will feature 75 self-contained

00:30 apartments which will be available for affordable rent only to the over 55s.

00:37 It will also include communal spaces for residents as well as a bistro and a hair and beauty

00:42 salon which will both be open to the public.

00:47 A Blackpool FC supporter was arrested and another taken to hospital during last night's

00:52 visit to Wolves.

00:53 The two fans were reportedly involved in an incident in the Blackpool supporters' end

00:57 during the EFL Cup match at Molyneux Stadium in Wolverhampton.
