00:00 All activities currently are suspended, meaning financial assistance, meaning civilian mission,
00:17 the cooperation in security issues.
00:19 So basically we are not working together with the current illegitimate authorities.
00:24 Again, we are dealing with a developing situation which is a few days old, but one thing is
00:29 certain there will be no positive consequences if this military coup is allowed to proceed
00:35 and be established as a fact on the ground.
00:37 So of course, I mean, we've seen this in the region that every time a military coup happened
00:42 and overthrew democratically elected institutions, it led to security risks, security challenges
00:48 in the region, including inability of the international community to help in regulating
00:53 the migration flows, for example.
00:55 At this stage, as I said, the European Union, we still believe that there is a space, there
01:00 is a room for mediation efforts.
01:02 So we would not go beyond and speculate.
01:04 Very important to bear in mind, there is this extraordinary meeting of the ECOWAS.
01:07 ECOWAS is the main actor, the main regional actor in this.
01:11 Whatever ECOWAS decides will then be implemented and the European Union has declared strong
01:16 support for decisions and actions and efforts of ECOWAS to find a solution to this situation.
