00:00I like Heated Rivalry because it has boys who actually show their emotions and talk about it.
00:05Hi, I'm Sean Gregory from Time and I'm on my way to the USA Czechia opening round Olympic hockey game.
00:13And we're going to talk to fans about the show Heated Rivalry.
00:16It was new for me to see the hockey world through this gay situation.
00:23I think it was nice to see the diversity and relationship grow between the two players.
00:28I think it's definitely bringing an important conversation to the forefront,
00:33which is that a lot of LGBTQ athletes aren't comfortable disclosing that they are queer or gay.
00:41I think that's something specifically that NHL really has a lot of work to do.
00:45I love the representation, getting to see some LGBTQ relationships, especially in hockey.
00:54Plus they're both very attractive men.
00:56Did it get you more interested in the sport of hockey?
00:58I'd say yeah.
00:59I did buy a hockey ticket to come see the women play the Czech Republic.
01:03Partly because I liked the show so much and I wanted to see it in action.
01:07I never paid attention to hockey prior and here I am at a hockey game.
01:11So I would say definitely did.
01:13If people want to come along to a hockey game, definitely come along.
01:17And it doesn't matter if you've came from romance books or television shows or whatever,
01:22they welcome your open arms.
01:24Hockey is for everyone.
01:25It's a little spicy.
01:26Yeah.
01:27What did you guys think of that?
01:28Coming from what we grew up with like the BBC, the BBC would never show anything like that.
01:33I feel like media today, there is a lot of spiciness, but it's more heterosexual relationships.
01:38So I honestly think it's wonderful that they're highlighting a gay relationship.
01:43Do you think there's heated rivalry type relationships going on between teams and countries?
01:47I think statistically there definitely is at least similar dynamics.
01:53Maybe I don't know, but if they are, I hope they're happy.
01:56If they're not, I hope they're happy as well.
01:59Who do you like better, Ilya or Hollander?
02:01Oh, that's really, really hard.
02:03Hollander, sorry.
02:05Uh, Ilya.
02:06That accent.
02:07Me personally?
02:08Probably Ilya.
02:09Why?
02:10Um, I'm chaotic.
02:12I might have to say Ilya because, you know, he says Hollander.
02:16I've come to the footage.
02:18I love the show.
02:19Keep it going.
