00:00 According to the National Review, recently released private messages indicate American
00:04 scientists suppressed the probable origins on the COVID-19 pandemic.
00:09 In a paper published in the Journal of Nature Medicine on March 17, 2020, Christian Anderson
00:15 and colleagues wrote, "We do not believe that any type of laboratory-based scenario is plausible."
00:20 The published paper, "The proximal origin of SARS-CoV-2," was one of the most cited
00:26 papers of that year, accessed more than 5.8 million times.
00:31 The site reports, "These scientists' internal communications reveal that they believed that
00:36 the lab leak hypothesis was plausible, if not likely, but for what they admit were political
00:42 reasons, they claimed the opposite."
00:44 The U.S. intelligence community states that two hypotheses are plausible, natural exposure
00:50 to an infected animal and a laboratory-associated incident.
00:54 When the New York Times confirms some contrarians believe, "The source of the virus doesn't
00:58 even matter.
00:59 Instead, it is how we cope with it."
01:02 There is now a petition to retract the fraudulent Nature Medicine paper.
