The effect of mutation on the development of cancer

Typically, in any tissue or organ of the body, cells multiply constantly, young cells replacing old ones.
This process is regulated by genes and is a well-organized mechanism.
So-called oncogenes can change their structure (mutation), which causes continuous proliferation of cells.
This is how cancer occurs. Unfortunately, scientists do not always understand why mutations occur.
