00:00 Tonight we're celebrating the opening of our new gallery here in Flagstaff Hill.

00:05 So this has been 18 months of work through grant applications and capital works.

00:15 So tonight's the fruition of that. So this was a space of the former assistant lighthouse keeper's

00:23 cottage. So we've restored it back as much as we can and turned it into a contemporary gallery space.

00:32 So come along we've got three rooms of displays. One is on the garrison, one is on unsung heroes

00:40 for shipwrecks. So we've got a medal that was awarded by the President of the United States in

00:46 1881 so it's quite significant. So and the other room is about the early history of Flagstaff Hill

00:52 and of this building. So yeah there's lots to see and most of this stuff has come out for the first

00:58 time on public display.
