South Warrnambool footballer Jimmy Stevens speaks about his selection in the Greater Western Victoria Rebels' under-18 squad.
Transcript
00:01Alright Jimmy, picked in the Rebels, first year Rebels, how are you feeling about it all?
00:04Yeah, pretty good, pretty stuck to get picked and pretty excited for the year to see what will happen.
00:09What are the goals for the year, I'm sure to get a game in your underage year?
00:13Ah yeah, definitely play a couple games, just get in the mix of things, train well and do it, yeah.
00:18I'm sure Rebels have been a goal of yours for a long time, you've seen your brothers go through the system?
00:22Yeah, 100%, seeing them play week in, week out.
00:25The Rebels always wanted to, especially now that you play with other people from other clubs,
00:29been excited to do all that.
00:32You're a key member of South's program, you enjoy being in your family club?
00:36Yeah, so good, it's a great club, great people, so much fun doing all the functions and things, so good.
00:42And what type of player are you?
00:44I'm a midfielder that just wants to run and find a role to be honest,
00:49but roles sort of switch wherever you play, so I don't know what I'm in for this year.
00:54And you're looking forward to training and hopefully playing alongside some of your friends
00:58from other teams at the Rebels?
01:00Yeah, most definitely.
01:01It's just like that thought of playing with people without having been at rival clubs and that.
01:05I always wanted to play with a few of them and now that I'm going to get to,
01:09hopefully we can all get games together and have some fun.
01:12Sounds good, well good luck for the season Jimmy.
01:16All this great stuff.
01:17Thanks for having me.
01:18Thanks.
01:20Let's take a hint.
01:22Thanks.
01:32Now we're seeing anything big.
