00:00 Today, Tasmania stands with Cheyenne Lee Tattnall's family and friends in their quest for answers.

00:07 Today, we have seen a number of personnel, in fact more than 160, come together from

00:14 community groups, from state emergency services, Tasmania Police recruits and specialists,

00:21 the Australian Federal Police and New South Wales Police experts, including a cadaver dog,

00:25 all coming together and travelling to north east Tasmania in a search for answers.

00:32 There is no doubt that it's answers that we want.

00:37 We will not rest. We will not rest until we have those answers and today is an example

00:43 of the effort that we're prepared to go to, to find those answers.

00:48 Our investigators will continue to work hard on locating Cheyenne Lee Tattnall and as I said,

00:55 we won't rest until we do it.

00:57 So the search is ongoing, we're still out there having a look.

01:00 It's been a big effort and as the commander indicated, it's quite an extensive area but we are committing

01:06 as many resources as we possibly can to get the job done.

01:09 We haven't found anything of note to date but we are enthusiastically checking the area,

01:16 we've put a lot of work in to get us to where we are today and the team that we've assembled

01:20 is very committed to searching the area thoroughly so that's what we're going to be doing

01:23 over the next couple of days.

01:25 So any missing person investigation is quite a complex investigation.

01:30 So from the start, there's always been two elements in relation to this.

01:34 Number one, that Cheyenne Lee disappeared in or around the North West River and as you know,

01:39 we've conducted some pretty extensive search and rescue efforts in and around that location.

01:44 The second part of this is that there's always been a potential for some sort of criminal element

01:49 to be involved.

01:50 So all the inquiries we've done to date, the hard work the investigative team's put in

01:54 and the information that comes from the community all lead us down certain pathways.

01:58 This is one of those.

01:59 So we're out there this week to try and explore the information to validate it.

02:04 We've been quite vocal about the fact that we haven't ruled anything out

02:08 and we haven't ruled anything in.

02:10 We appreciate any help and any support the community offer.

02:13 We still believe, as in any open investigation, that people out there with information

02:17 should feel comfortable contacting us.

02:19 They can communicate that information any how they like as long as it gets to us.

02:23 There's crime stoppers, it can be done anonymously, you can go to your local police station,

02:27 any avenue, but if anybody knows anything about the disappearance of Cheyenne Lee,

02:31 we're obviously very keen to hear from you.
