00:00For about 30 years, Poetina Arts Collective has provided spaces and opportunities for
00:05artists from across the country to develop their talents here.
00:09Now with the planned sell-off of several buildings in Poetina, that is in doubt.
00:14The group is now looking for help to secure buildings so that it can continue to provide
00:19opportunities for those artists to come here and work on their craft.
00:23What we're needing to do is secure these facilities because they're currently on the
00:27market, this glass studio building and some other buildings in the village proper.
00:33Poetina is really where I've had that sort of like creative, learn to express myself creatively
00:42in a range of different ways.
00:45There's something here that actually elicits, you know, creative opportunity for artists to
00:53come and make and it's unlike anything else in Australia.
00:57When people come here, you know, you just see that the impact that that has on them.
01:03Seeing how these opportunities could be limited, it's very, it would be very sad for me to see
01:09that leave because it's such an incredibly valuable thing.
