00:14But for many families, interacting with the court has only deepened their trauma.
00:19We spoke with several bereaved families about their harrowing experiences with the system
00:23at a time when compassion was needed most.
00:26They reported feeling ignored, shut out or even treated almost with contempt by cold
00:32adversarial processes while trying to find out how their loved ones died.
