Harewood House Trust has embarked on a major project to reimagine historic landscapes and gardens, build a new playground and create a new visitor welcome space at the popular stately home visitor attraction north of Leeds.

00:02 So, hello! My name is Kath Knight and I'm the Deputy Chief Executive here at Harewood House.

00:13 And behind me we have the Bakehouse and I'm really excited to announce that we've just started a project

00:20 to bring the Bakehouse back into use as a welcome and family activity centre.

00:27 It's based on architects Bowman Lyons and the Landscape Agency and Matthew Wilson, the renowned garden designer.

00:35 Also, we're going to be replacing our Adventure Play Area with a new exciting play area which will be coming in July 2024.

00:44 So we hope that we're going to be able to share the concept designs for the play area in the next few weeks.

00:50 So, over the next few months we'll be sharing information about what we're doing, the plans and what's going to be happening when.
