A bus driver who used a printing press to produce fake travel tickets across the West Midlands has been sentenced to jail. Steven Taylor, of Wolverhampton, was sentenced in his absence to four-and-a-half years after Birmingham Crown Court was told he had fled to Tanzania.

Five men have been convicted of murder after a father was fatally stabbed following a funeral as an ongoing feud between families erupted into violence. Mr Nawaz from Handsworth, sustained serious chest injuries and died a short time after arriving at hospital.

With news that Victoria in Australia pulled out of hosting the 2026 Commonwealth Games this week, many are calling for the Games to return to Brum once again. West Midlands mayor Andy Street hasn't ruled out the possibility of the city hosting the Games in three years time.
