00:04 march taking place in Les Lerouses in support of the mayor whose home was targeted over

00:11 the weekend.

00:13 Tell us what's happening where you are Lisa.

00:15 Yes Delano, so I'm currently just on the side of this march.

00:21 We are located outside the main marketplace of Les Lerouses.

00:27 As you can see behind me there are several hundreds of people gathered and they are currently

00:31 listening to their town mayor Vincent Jeanbrun speaking about the violence that has swept

00:38 across towns in France this week but notably about the violent attack on his home which

00:45 happened over the weekend.

00:47 Now behind me you can hear them clapping.

00:49 Now these people are not just residents of Les Lerouses, you also have the town hall

00:54 representatives, the local councillors and also council representatives from other communes

00:59 across the region of the Île-de-France.

01:02 So this is a very big and important march.

01:05 It's sending an important message.

01:06 It is the first march where we have this many politicians and deputies present since the

01:13 start of the violence and unrest at the beginning of last week.

01:17 Now Jeanbrun, Vincent Jeanbrun is also joined by right wing political party leaders such

01:22 as Les Républicains Eric Ciotti, you also have the president of the senate Gérard Larger

01:28 and you have Valérie Pécresse, the president of the Île-de-France region.

01:31 So a lot of big names present here today and again the main message is to condemn the violence

01:37 that swept across the country last week but also to call to the restoration of order in

01:43 the Republic.

01:45 Now as you can hear the mayor speaking behind me, he's currently thanking everyone for their

01:49 support and he is trying to rally everyone up and tell them that we will not give up

01:55 and we will respond firmly to restore peace and order in our communes.
