00:10 Hello from the Scotsman's headquarters here in the centre of Edinburgh.
00:13 My name's Neil McIntosh, I'm editor of the Scotsman,
00:15 and I'm here today to tell you about a brilliant new version of our website and app.
00:19 A couple of years ago when I joined the Scotsman,
00:21 we decided to look to our readers and our former readers
00:24 and ask them what they liked and what they loathed about the Scotsman.
00:27 The feedback was incredibly helpful
00:29 and the overwhelming message was, you loved the journalism,
00:32 you loved our comprehensive Scottish UK and world news,
00:35 you loved our deep understanding of Scottish politics,
00:38 our columnists, the photography, the sport,
00:41 and our amazing coverage of the Edinburgh festivals and arts across Scotland.
00:45 But what you really didn't like was the old website and the app.
00:48 The website was too slow to load, too hard to read, and just not a very friendly place.
00:53 Those were the polite comments, so we've listened,
00:55 we've gone back to the drawing board and created something we're very proud of.
00:59 It's faster, it's much more elegant,
01:02 it showcases all you love about Scotland's national newspaper
01:05 and makes enjoying your Scotsman much more straightforward.
01:08 And alongside the website, we've unveiled a brand new app for your mobile device.
01:13 That brings all the good stuff you love about the new website
01:16 and puts it in the perfect mobile package.
01:19 You can get updates from the Scotsman wherever you are, whenever you want,
01:23 and on the app version you can get that on your mobile device
01:26 in a format that means you don't have to squint.
01:28 We hope you can take the chance to enjoy the Scotsman once more.
01:31 We look forward to welcoming you back.
