Skinks are generally cute little things that don't freak you out, but if you'd been around 50,000 years ago it would have been a different story. Back then there was skink the size of your arm it’s been dubbed mega chonk or Chonkasaurus and has been formally described scientifically for the first time based on bones found in the Dubbo area of New South Wales.
