Is it worth filing a claim for roof hail damage - What should I do_

Dealing with insurance adjuster on roof hail damage. I wanted to do a quick video on is it worth filing a claim after a hail storm on your roof? In my opinion, this is all based on my opinion from my experience with dealing with different aspects of hail damage on a roof. In the Minnesota market one of the most common things i deal with on my end after we get snow or when the snow starts to melt. Two words roofing leaks.
I don't know why a lot of times what i will do is once i get the person's information i will go out and run a quick assessment on their addres

1:33 I don't know why a lot of times what i will do is once i get the person's information i will go out and run a quick assessment on their addresses for storm damage or storm histories and most the time i will say about 60 percent of the calls i get are typically from areas that have received or have gotten very um ex you know multiple hail storms within uh six months or a year.
2:33 You know if it's depending on your carrier if it's within a certain time frame you can't go to your carrier you have to cover that cost on your end so you know if your roof starts to leak you know one or two years or you know like i say it depends on the insurance company um they all have different rules in different states but in my state there are certain companies out there they won't cover it so what happens in that situation is all of a sudden you know you are responsible for you know a three or four thousand dollar uh fix or sometimes a whole roof needs to be replaced and that's you know depending on the size of your home um between 10 and 15 grand about average um in my state um so you know it's like if you have significantly held damage and you've got multiple different storms within you know the summer or within the year um i think it's well worth following a claim if you have damage because in the long term if you start to get those leaks
