नवरात्र के छठे दिन कात्यायनी देवी की पूरे श्रद्धा भाव से पूजा की जाती है. कात्यायनी देवी दुर्गा जी का छठा अवतार हैं. शास्त्रों के अनुसार देवी ने कात्यायन ऋषि के घर उनकी पुत्री के रूप में जन्म लिया, इस कारण इनका नाम कात्यायनी पड़ गया. मां कात्यायनी अमोघ फलदायिनी मानी गई हैं. शिक्षा प्राप्ति के क्षेत्र में प्रयासरत भक्तों को माता की अवश्य उपासना करनी चाहिए
