RFID vs. Barcode: The Differences- Barcodes are designed to be scanned one at a time whereas many RFID tags can be scanned at once. Barcodes require that the scanner maintain a line-of-sight with each code, while RFID is a “near field” technology, so the scanner only needs to be within range of the tag to read it.
