Kudou Shinichi turned small because of a drug the black-wearer guys made him to drink. He decided to stay at his childhood friend Ran because her father can be useful for him as his profession is actually a detective. As when he was about to back home, Ran's father rushed on having got a case for him to investigate. 'Black-wearer guys' seems to be some of the detail about it, made Shinichi to follow Ran's father as well.
