Partner visas for Australia can now cost upwards of $7,000 to apply and may take as long as 24-28 months to process.
We’ve done some digging into statistics and have compared the visa application fees for partner visas in multiple countries around the world. We’ve converted the amounts into Australian dollars and rounded up to the nearest $5 in order to accurately compare the costs.
What we’ve found is astonishing!
Most countries are far below the $7,000 that the Australian government demands. In fact, a lot of the European countries process a partner visa application like any other visa application, some are even the same price as the tourist visa.
Unsurprisingly, the UK is the second most expensive according to our research and no doubt they’ve taken a leaf out of Australia’s books, realising that they can demand more money for potential migrants. The UK demands $2,510AUD but this is still a far cry from the $7,000 to even apply for a partner visa in Australia.
