|| Esha Te 'Bhihita Sankhye Buddhir Yoge Tvimam Shrinu
Buddhya Yukto Yaya Partha Karma-Bandham Prahasyasi ||

2 This verse can be translated as;

By far, I (the Supreme Being) have explained to you the spiritual intelligence regarding the nature of the soul (that is Sankhya Yog). Now listen to this carefully as I describe the practice of intelligence (that is called Buddhi Yog). O Parth, when you work with such understanding, you will be released from the bondage of Karma.

3 The wordings of the fortieth stanza are as follows;

|| Nehabhikrama-Nasho ’Sti Pratyavayo Na Vidyate
Svalpam Apyasya Dharmasya Trayate Mahato Bhayat||

4 The translation of this verse is as follows;
Working in this state of consciousness, there is no loss or no failure / harmful results; and even a little effort (in the direction of Dharma) saves one from great danger (or rather your greatest fear).
