Johannesburg was selected as one of the four cities in the world to host the specially curated art exhibition celebrating Hennessy’s 250th anniversary. Luminaries from all over the African continent attended the invitation-only celebrations, which climaxed with a Gala Dinner at the Inanda Club where the Hennessy 250 Collector Blend was revealed in a delectable pairing menu presented by the Hennessy Tasting Committee.

In this latest installment of Tastemakers, Capital Lifestyle’s Susan Wong sits down with Master Blender Yann Fillioux to discuss his favourite years of eaux-de-vie, Maurice Hennessy to learn more about why he’s never been in the tasting committee and how he prefers to take his cognac, and with CEO and Chairman Bernard Peillon to understand a little about the storied brand’s approach to innovation.
