SWNS photographer David Hedges takes on the tough mudder assault course with a GoPro camera strapped to his head. It is known as "probably the toughest event on the planet" and with this competitor's eye view it is not hard to see why. Brave David Hedges, 23, filmed the fascinating insight into the world famous Tough Mudder assault course in Powys, Wales, as he took part in the grueling race. The course, spread over 12 miles, features hard-core hurdles in which participants are expected to scale slippery slopes, crawl through dark tunnels and dive into ice baths. They are also electrocuted as they run through loose wiring, told to lug heavy logs on a one mile hike and made to swing from monkey bars above a muddy pit of water.
