Turkey continues its operation in Syria's Afrin region

Turkish forces and their Syrian rebel allies have launched a cross-border offensive against the Afrin region of northern Syria, held by a powerful Kurdish militia. Since "Operation Olive Branch" began on Saturday, rebels and Turkish forces have advanced about five kilometres into Syrian territory.
