Saint Valentine was a Saint who lived in the third century in Rome who fight against King Claudius II who banned marriage during his time.
Saint Valentine wanted to help lovers who came to him for a holy matrimony. But they were arrested by Rome King.
Valentine was imprisoned.
His jailor Asterius approached him to use his saintly power, and heal his blind daughter. Valentine succeeded & they became close and fell in love.
One day, the King asked Saint Valentine to agree with the ban on marriage. But Valentine refused.
Before his execution, Valentine asked for a pen and paper and signed a farewell message to his lover, "from your Valentine"; a phrase that lived ever after.
