First ice fishing trip of the 2016/2017 Utah ice fishing season. In this video I spend the day ice fishing Mantua Reservoir. I managed to catch a few trout and missed a whole lot of bites. The ice was around 5” thick and the bait of choice was white ice flies tipped with wax worms. I fished in 9 feet of water and caught fish directly off the bottom and just under the ice. I'm looking forward to this ice fishing season so stay tuned for more videos, tips, and fishing conditions.
