Betting on Shorts: More than a Eurovision of Shortfilm

Betting on Shorts is an annual shortfilm competition at the ICA. This year, we’ve invited filmmakers from across the world to respond to our theme “Mad or Bad”.
Of almost 400 submissions we have selected a programme of 16 finalists, which will be screened simultaneously in Athens, Barcelona, Berlin, Istanbul, Maribor, Novi Sad, Paris, Poznan, Rostov on Don and, of course, London.
The films will be judged by a panel of local film-curators, directors, actors or cultural critics in each city. The overall favourite is awarded a prize.
Before the show begins, you, the audience, can bet on who will be the grand winner. So watch these trailers and make up your mind. When you buy your ticket on 28 November you will be issued a betting form. Tell us which film you think will be the European favourite and if you’re right, you can win cinema tickets or an annual ICA membership.
The winners will be announced in the bar right after the screening on 28 November, as soon as all the juries’ decisions are in.
