Colombia: Agrarian Summit Mobilizes for Campesino Demands

Mobilizations by the Agrarian Summit, comprised of Colombia's campesino, indigenous, and Afro-descendant organizations, continue to take place in Bogota. The main demands are for land distribution, technical support to agriculture, and an end to the stigmatization and repression of rural movements. Such demands are seen as key to ensuring social peace with the end of the armed conflict. Negotiations are currently underway with the Agriculture Ministry.
