Promotional video advertisement i made during internship at the Workers Party of Belgium (and their bi-lingual, bi-weekly newspaper "Solidair/Solidaire"). I was involved in the creative process for developing the identity of the festival from A to Z - in collaboration with design bureau Comm'sa from Ghent.
Manifiesta is political/cultural anual festival in beglium linked to the Workers Party of Belgium, but organised with a wide range of grassroot organisation all across the left-wing spectrum. It is comparable to the more well known French "Fete de l'Humanite".
We chose a photomanipulated red penguin with different symbols on their belly's to highlight the different facets of the festival ( music / debates / lectures / leisure / cuisine / bookfairs / international exchange ).
The short animation shows a line-up of bands and guest speakers. It was done both in French and Dutch since Belgium is a bi-lingual country with communal tension along lingual lines. the Workers Party of Belgium positions itself as the only national party in parliament who is not isolated to either only the Dutch (Flemish) or French (Walloon) communities.
