TENANT BEWARE! Centerpoint Apartments, located at 2626 Frankford Road, in Dallas, TX is owned by a family of debt collectors who have sued over several hundred of their previous tenants, on moveout, for THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of dollars. According to an article written by the Dallas Observer, titled "AT CENTERPOINT APARTMENTS, MOVING OUT OFTEN MEANS A TRIP TO COURT (AND A FAT BILL)" on October 3, 2013, the Apartment uses a series of tricks (losing vacate notices routinely, slipping self serving clauses into the contracts) to place even family members of renters on the hook for thousands. The JP Judge has never ruled against them and per the article, the JP judge's campaign was partly financed by a local Apartment Lobby group.
