The Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion of Ecuador has signed agreements with five federations of persons with disabilities to further their rights. Their projects will now receive funding from the Ministry. The aim is to better the quality of life for disabled people, who have already received important support and training from professionals in the field. Their numbers in the workforce spiked between 2006 to 2014, from 500 to 85,000. The new agreements are expected to result in further training and job opportunities. Liz Sherffius reports from Quito for teleSUR.
