UN officials in Bogota urged that in the Colombian peace talks currently underway in Havana both sides quickly move toward an agreement and set a deadline to conclude the negotiations. UNDP High Commissioner for Human Rights Flavia Pansieri added that any peace agreement must take social justice and the rights of the victims of the five-decade armed conflict into account. Meanwhile, Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos vowed to continue the peace talks despite pressure from those who want an end to the negotiations. teleSUR
